Cabins

 

   Our vacation rentals are the closest to *Hanging Rock State Park.  They are  secluded and private, nestled  in the forest of our 1000 acre Wilderness Preserve.  Once behind the gates of Singletree, you are indeed a world apart.

  Innisfree–   Cottage in the woods. 2 bedrooms.    Master– Queen bed  2nd bedroom- Twin beds  Large seating/dining area, fully equipped kitchen. Covered porch with additional dining table.  Gas grill. Sleeps six if use cot and air mattress.

The Bear’s Den –1950′s true cabin- Our most RUSTIC “campy” cabin.    2 bedrooms.  Master,– double bed  2nd bedroom– twin beds, sitting/dining area, fully equipped kitchen, screen porch, gas fireplace, deck, stone charcoal grill, fire-ring.  Sleeps four.  Four wheel drive helpful.

Windblow Ridge — Sweeping views.  3 bedroom 2 bath cottage.  Master- Queen bed/private bath, 2nd bedroom- xl Double bed , 3rd bedroom- bunk beds and day bed with trundle.  Dining room, sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill.  Large covered porch with seating.  Binoculars included.  Sleeps 6 adults

      All linens and paper products are in place. Cabins have old fashioned and current board games. No tv.  The porch of the Lodge has wifi, and we have a hot spot for rent if you can’t stand it.  We believe in the healing sights and sounds of nature.  We call it “Digital Detox.”

Cabins are Air conditioned in summer, heated in winter. Guests in cabins are welcome to the expansive lawn and we will fire up the large Montana Style Fire pit at the Main Lodge (weather and wind permitting.)  Guests may also access the exclusive HammerStern Wilderness Preserve and our private hiking trails  thru the preserve, and along the Dan River.

There is someone at the Main Lodge 24/7 for questions, concerns, help booking excursions, or Lodge porch sitting company.

Our Cabins are in a Wilderness.  The roads are dirt/gravel.  It is mountainous.  If you have four wheel drive, BRING IT.   If dirt roads and hills scare you, call and we can help you find somewhere else to stay.  This is a Mountainous Wilderness Preserve.   If being off the beaten path frightens you, – – please reconsider.
